Pitch
Pitch
One day the young girl walks her dog past an eerie cottage and hears a scream. She stops and walks towards the nearest window when a hand smashes against it. She realises something isn't right so runs off. When she gets home later that evening she watches the news and sees the girl in the cottage had committed suicide. However she knows this is not the truth as she saw two people in the cottage. That night she goes to bed and finds an old wind-up clock which she turns and the next morning wakes up to find she has gone back in time to the day of the ‘suicide’. This time she walks into the cottage to see if she can discover the true events that had occurred here and to see if she can change them. She finds Lydia alive, and then helps her out of the cottage only to later find out that her boyfriend was responsible for Lydia’s murder before she went back in time.

Mood Board - Props
This is the section of our Mood Board based on the props we have used in our film. The photos won't rotate on Blogger so the text that is on the photo is underneath.
We have decided to use a range of props throughout our production. Our reasons for this are because they represent different things, Firstly we used props such as a handheld camera, television, a remote and a dog to show normal lives and events making our production realistic. We also used a glass which smashes on the floor to represent the start of danger and unsettling events. We used red roses as they fit the colour scheme of our film and relate to one of our themes of love. We then used ropes to tie up Lydia to show she was struggling and in danger. Finally our main prop is the old fashioned clock. This brings Postmodernism to our film by enabling time travel. The time travel is shown by certain events happening again which includes an alarm clock showing Anna waking up at the same time starting that day again.
Mood Board - Costumes
This is the section of our Mood Board based on the costumes of our characters. As the photos don't rotate on Blogger the text that is shown on the images is underneath them.
For the costume of Finn our Antagonist, we decided to dress him in casual clothing such as a hoody; however his clothing will be dark to give a sense of the darkness of his character.
For the costumer of Anna our Protagonist, we decided to dress her in casual clothes such as jeans and converse to show how she is a normal teenager, meaning she is relatable to the audience.
For the costumer of Lydia, we decided to dress her in a red dress with red lipstick and red nail varnish. The colour red is a main colour and represents our film, this is due to the connotations of love, danger and death which are all themes in our film.
Mood Board - Locations
This is the section of our Mood Board based on the Locations we used. The pictures do not rotate on Blogger so the text is underneath the photo.
The reasons we used the house was the fact there could be somewhere where the main events happen also another house was used for the fact our character could have somewhere were she would be safe.
The locations we have used are a Graveyard, a House, a Forest and a Field. We went with isolated locations so that our victims would find it hard to escape as they won't be able to find any help and they have to get themselves out of the situation.
The reasons we used a graveyard was for somewhere we can show death. A graveyard was the perfect place as obviously alot of people are buried in a churchyard.
Mood Board - Genre
This is the genre section of our Mood Board. As blogger doesn't let you have horizontal pictures, the writing is underneath the picture as it can't be rotated.
The colour red represents a variety of things, in the horror genre the colour red represents death and blood. We chose to use this colour as it would represent these conventions in our film. In our props and costumes we have also related to the colour red as much as we can to also show these representations. Also our titles in the film will be based around this colour too.
Our genre for our film is thriller/horror. When planning and researching our film we looked at similar horror and thriller trailers such as Gone, Wolf Creek, Black Swan and The House At The End Of The Street.

Survey - Do you think that a film poster is important?

This is a survey that i made where we got answers of whether people think that a film poster is important.
The results that we got showed:
1). 100% of people found that the poster is an important advertisement of the film.
2). The most popular component that people expected with film posters are the colours along with ALL the details of the film so it gives viewers the information they need.
3). 80% Were female, 20% were male.
4). 40% of people thought that posters are better forms of advertisement than the radio, television and other media.
This gave us an idea on what people think about posters in the media industry for film. Also showed us what the public expects from a poster meaning we need alot of colour and information.
Shot List
This is our Final Shot List. After planning through storyboards we have came to the decision that this is the final shots that we want to have in our film.

Shooting Script
This is the shooting script. Each row declares a different scene and on the right column is the dialogue from that specific scene. We found that having less dialogue would be more effective because this builds suspense and intrigues the audience easier as there are more visual elements leading to the titles which give the information that the viewer needs.
